Lorenz Bäumer is an atypical and innovative creator, staying true to his ethos of believing that jewels have a soul rather than a price. His high jewellery creations push the traditional boundaries of the legendary Place Vendôme. The complexity of craftsmanship and the rarity of the jewels used convey the artistry that is evident in his high jewellery and luxury timepieces.
After having brought Louis Vuitton’s jewellery to the heights of haute joaillerie during his seven-year tenure as Artistic Director and having designed Chanel’s most emblematic jewellery collections for 20 years, Lorenz Bäumer is now completely dedicated to his own company, created 25 years ago.
Recognized and held in high esteem by his peers, Lorenz Bäumer had the honor to be chosen among jewellers worldwide in 2010 by Princess Charlene Wittstock and Prince Albert II of Monaco to design the jewellery piece of their wedding: the marvelous tiara “Ecume de Diamants.”
In France, his jewellery is part of the permanent collection of the Musée des Arts Décoratifs. His work is internationally recognized, including by the National Jewelry Institute of America, which celebrated his 15 years of creation in 1997.
