Meccaniche Orologi Milano
Established in 2016 in Milan, the cradle of European culture, fashion and design, MOM (Meccaniche Orologi Milano) is a small, young family company founded by Alessandro Rigotto, a member of the A.H.C.I Horological Academy of Independent Creators. Growing up in Milan and showing particular interest and skills in the exact sciences, Rigotto attended the State University of Milan and graduated with excellent results in Mathematics. After graduation, he began working as a designer and programmer in the mechanical sector. Fond of clock-making, Rigotto became an Associate Member of The British Horological Institute and in 2012 started engineering and producing clocks for Italian and French luxury brands. In 2016, Rigotto founded Meccaniche Orologi Milano with the aim of building timepieces, which would bring together ultramodern and innovative design with traditional mechanical clock-making. Clock-making is his personal challenge, a constant possibility to grow, develop, evolve and create something new and unique in its kind. Their clocks are 100% Italian made: each and every component, starting from the base and finishing with the smallest screws, are all crafted from local materials. They seek to glorify Italian tradition while paying tribute to modern design and technological features. In all their clocks, from the grandiose grandfather clocks to the desk timepieces, they strive to envision the perfect union of modernity, innovation and tradition in order to create a timepiece that would last for generations.
